"Mississauga's "Marilyn Monroe" building caused quite a stir when the curvaceous
design was recently unveiled. Now, visitors to Google Earth can view a
replica of the soon-to-be city landmark in 3D. It's the brainchild of Sam Sibai
of Homelife Response Realty, a sales agent for The Absolute World tower, the
building's actual name. The image was created
by Canada Placemarks, a Vancouver company specializing in marketing

Marilyn Monroe building in Google Earth

Placemarks has completed
construction and placement of The Absolute World Tower on Google Earth in
partnership with CondoSky.com and Mississauga luxury condo developer Danny
Salvatore of Fernbrook Homes. Google Earth is a powerful new 3D spatial imaging
software available free from search giant Google. Using the digital design
software SketchUp, Canada Placemarks has created a replica of the famous
luxury 50 story, 360 degree curving tower, dubbed the Marilyn Monroe building.
Using Google Earth, visitors to The
Absolute can pan, tilt and zoom around the virtual building and surroundings and
even check out the BMW 325i parked out front..."

Google acquires @Last Software

Google Earth has purchased @Last Software based in Boulder, CO. @Last is the
maker of the modelling software called SketchUp. SketchUp users can download a
powerful
plug in for Google Earth allowing 3D renderings of buildings in Google
Earth. Canada Placemarks will be utilizing SketchUp to create 3D images
within our clients' placemarks.
